Police hunt Alien Skin over death of Fangone musician Namuwaya

Police have launched a manhunt for controversial singer Alien Skin (pictured), accused of ordering the beating that led to the death of Fangone Forest member Wilfred Namuwaya.

Kampala, Uganda: Controversial musician Alien Skin, real name Patrick Mulwana, is a wanted man by police over the gruesome murder of his Fangone Forest crew member, Wilfred Namuwaya, who died last week after a violent assault allegedly ordered by the singer.

Police investigations indicate that on September 20, 2025, Namuwaya was forcibly picked from his Ndeeba home by a one Musomali, a close associate of Fangone Forest, acting under Alien Skin’s instructions, who allegedly directed the group to punish Namuwaya for quitting the music outfit without permission.

The victim was later dumped in Mpomba Zone, where a Good Samaritan rushed him to Mulago National Referral Hospital. He succumbed to his injuries on September 22.

Police spokesperson SSP Patrick Onyango confirmed that Alien Skin and his accomplices face serious charges. “The suspects, including Alien Skin, orchestrated a violent attack on the victim. This is a serious matter, and we are determined to bring all involved to justice,” Onyango said.

Repeat Offender

Alien Skin has repeatedly courted controversy. In December 2024, he was remanded to Luzira Prison on robbery charges after a viral video showed his gang assaulting security guards and medical staff at Nsambya Hospital. He was later charged with stealing an iPhone 15 Pro, Shs480,000 in cash, and a wallet containing a national ID.

Although fellow musician Pallaso initially defended him, the relationship between the two soured. In January 2025, Pallaso allegedly led a violent raid on Alien Skin’s Makindye home, forcing the singer to hide in his ceiling to escape.

Alien Skin has also been linked to political violence, including accusations of mobilizing gangs to attack National Unity Platform (NUP) supporters at Makerere Kavule in late 2024.

Police have now appealed to the public for information leading to the arrest of Alien Skin and his associates, identified as Commander Mdogo, Ibra Kabadiya, and Mijagulo.

“The investigation is ongoing, and we urge anyone with knowledge of their whereabouts to come forward,” SSP Onyango said, but hours later, the hunted singer was seen on stage at Kololo performing before President Museveni, who convened the afternoon rally after his nomination for the seventh term race.
