Lawyer Wamboko declares fresh bid for Bushigai MP seat

Bududa, Uganda: Kampala-based lawyer and businessman, Counsel Wamboko Kituno, has officially declared his intention to contest for the Bushigai Constituency Parliamentary seat as an independent candidate under the agenda of “Redirecting Our Future.”

Wamboko, a partner at Madibo Mafabi Advocates & Solicitors, previously contested for the same seat in the 2016 and 2021 general elections as an independent, where former Minister Hon. Wakikona Wanendeya David emerged the winner.

Speaking to DailyExpress, Wamboko pledged to be a servant leader for the people of Bushigai, tackling challenges such as poor road networks, limited access to clean water, underfunded schools, and youth unemployment.

“I stand before them not as a candidate but as their son, their brother, and their servant. I know the challenges we face every day,” he said.

“I seek their vote to be their Member of Parliament so that together we can bring real change to Bushigai. I will be their voice in Parliament – a voice for farmers, women, the youth, and every hard-working family in our constituency.”

Wamboko emphasized that his campaign will focus on better service delivery, more development, and equal opportunities for all, calling on voters to “walk this journey together with unity, integrity, and hard work.”

If successfully nominated, Wamboko is expected to face strong competition from former RDC Kigai Moses Wamoto, Wabusani Steven, former Bududa District Chairman Watila Wilson, Mabala Natala, among others.
