Kamuli, Uganda: The Common Man’s Party Presidential Candidate, Mubarak Munyagwa Sserunga, has called on residents of Kamuli District and the wider Busoga Sub-region to rally behind his leadership bid, pledging to champion the rights and welfare of ordinary Ugandans.
Addressing supporters after attending prayers at Kamuli Central Mosque on Saturday, Munyagwa urged Muslims to stand firm in defending their rights and freedoms, saying the community continues to face unfair blame and marginalization.
“We remain like an endangered species; whenever something goes wrong, Muslims are the first to be blamed. I am the only Muslim in this race, so remember, we are here to fight for the common man,” Munyagwa told congregants.
He dismissed what he called “hired crowds and political pomp,” saying great leaders such as Prophet Muhammad and Jesus Christ rose from humble beginnings to inspire humanity, a path he intends to follow through the Common Man’s Party.

Munyagwa made 10 stopovers, greeting supporters along the route before addressing a major rally at Kamuli Mayor’s Gardens, where he reiterated his message of equality and fairness in national resource distribution.
“Our party symbol, the silver plate, represents an equal share of the national cake. When I go to State House, I will ensure that every sub-region in Uganda gets its fair portion,” he declared.
He further urged voters in Kamuli Municipality to back Gen. Moses Bigirwa, the party’s Secretary General and flag bearer aspirant for Member of Parliament, describing him as a committed advocate for the common citizen.
Today, October 05, Munyagwa is expected in Buyende, the neighboring district to Kamuli on the west as he continues his Busoga subregion trail.
