One dead, another critical after two boda bodas collide with car in Kiryandongo

Kiryandongo, Uganda: One person has died and another left in critical condition following a nasty road accident involving two boda bodas and a vehicle along the Diima–Bweyale highway in Kiryandongo District.

The crash occurred around 5 pm on Sunday evening when a speeding car heading towards Gulu reportedly collided with the two motorcycles that were en route to Bweyale Town, leaving both riders in a pool of blood.

According to eyewitnesses, the victims were rushed to God’s Gift Clinic in Diima Trading Centre, where one of them, identified as Bob Morish, was pronounced dead on arrival. The other victim, Wokorach Joseph, remains in critical condition.

A resident of Diima, who preferred anonymity, told DailyExpress that both riders hail from Aleero Village, Aleero Parish, Nyamahasa Sub-county, in Kiryandongo District.

By press time, police had not yet issued an official statement on the cause of the accident. The vehicle involved in the collision was reportedly towed to Diima Police Post for inspection and further investigation.
