Kampala, Uganda: Ugandan Billionaire businessman dubbed Kampala Landlord, Dr Sudhir Ruparelia of The wealthy Ruparelia Group, has unveiled the first pictures of the iconic Pearl Tower One, now renamed to RR Pearl Tower One, with workers seen installing the new “RR” initials atop the 19-storey building in Kampala on Friday.

The change, announced last month by the property mogul, is part of a gradual renaming of the landmark commercial property in honour of his late son Rajiv Ruparelia, whose vision inspired the construction of the tower as part of the upcoming Pearl Business Park project.

On-site photos captured on Friday show extension engineers hoisting metallic letters to the rooftop façade, marking the visible start of the renaming exercise that has been underway internally for months.

The newly mounted initials “RR” now stand prominently above the city skyline, symbolizing Rajiv Ruparelia’s legacy in Uganda’s fast-growing real estate sector.

The RR Pearl Tower One sits on Yusuf Lule Road and is the first of ten planned towers under Meera Investments’ Pearl Business Park development, positioning itself as a Grade-A office space for high-end tenants in the capital.

Sources close to the Group said the gradual rebranding is meant to align with property registration and architectural design standards before the official unveiling ceremony later this year.
