Mbarara City, Uganda: The Manager of the Office of the National Chairman (ONC) and Senior Presidential Advisor (SPA), Hajjat Hadijah Namyalo Uzeiye, has assured residents of Mbarara City that President Museveni will verily address corruption head-on and deliver long-awaited relief to communities through direct empowerment programs and infrastructure upgrades.
Speaking during her grassroots mobilization tour on Sunday, November 9, 2025, Hajjat Namyalo, who spent the day engaging Museveni’s Bazzukulu in Mbarara Central Market and later at Kakyeka Stadium, rallied the public to stand firm with the President as he seeks another term of office.
At Mbarara Central Market, the Chief Muzzukulu was warmly welcomed by the NRM Chairman for Mbarara City, Hon. Tumwine Wilson, and hundreds of vendors who praised President Museveni for constructing the modern market, but raised concerns over excessive operational fees and bureaucratic delays in accessing government funds.
Nsengimana Abas, a dry fish trader, said vendors pay between UGX 100,000 and 200,000 monthly for electricity, even when power is off, alongside UGX 21,000 per water unit and UGX 70,000 in rent.
Others called for Parish Development Model (PDM) funds to be wired directly to beneficiaries through mobile money, arguing that middlemen were diverting funds meant for the poor. “Hajjat, why doesn’t government deal with mobile money companies to send our money directly to our SIM cards? We are tired of your thieves managing the PDM,” a frustrated youth told her.
Another vendor added, “We have never received any money coded as a ghetto fund. We need our money.”

In her response to their outcry, Hajjat assured vendors that their November and December water and electricity bills will be cleared through a joint intervention by Hon. Tumwine and city authorities. She also pledged to escalate the vendors’ concerns to higher offices for immediate action.
“No Bazzukulu should be left behind in Jajja Museveni’s empowerment agenda,” she said. “The government will not tolerate officials who frustrate service delivery through corruption and extortion.”
‘Museveni Will Deal With His Thieves,’ – Namyalo
Later, at a packed Kakyeka Stadium, Hajjat Namyalo addressed thousands of jubilant youth during the Mbarara City NRM Cup, a sports gala organized by the Office of the National Chairman to promote unity, fitness, and youth empowerment.
The tournament, coordinated by ONC National Sports Coordinator Seth Murari, attracted participants from six universities competing in football, volleyball, netball, and cycling.
Speaking to the crowd, Hajjat Namyalo said President Museveni’s next term will focus on fighting corruption, empowering youth, and expanding local infrastructure to spur job creation. “I promise you that Mzee will deal with his thieves. We are all tired of them. This upcoming Kisanja (term), it’s zero tolerance to corruption,” she declared.

She further urged residents to support President Museveni and NRM Woman MP flag bearer Hon. Charity Kibaaju Kamuhanda in the forthcoming elections. “I request you to vote for President Museveni and Hon. Kibaaju. We need to settle with Jajja because he’s the only leader who delivers,” she said.
Hajjat Namyalo also revealed that the ONC, together with Hon. Tumwine Wilson, will petition the President to upgrade Kakyeka Stadium to national standards, a move she said would boost sports-driven employment and youth wealth creation.
“With Hon. Tumwine, we are going to request the President to have Kakyeka Stadium improved to the right standards. Sports is a ripe venture for jobs and wealth creation, especially for our youth,” Hajjat said.

She commended the NRM Flag bearer for Mbarara City Woman MP, Hon Kibaaju Charity, for her consistent support of youth programs, describing her as “a true Bazzukulu-friendly leader who walks the talk on empowerment.”
