Namukuta targets 300 votes per village for Museveni in Kamuli NRM mobilization drive

The Kaliro Woman MP, Hon Brenda Namukuta addressing NRM leaders and mobilisers during a meeting at the district headquarters.

Kaliro, Uganda: The Woman Member of Parliament for Kaliro District, who also doubles as the NRM flag bearer for the same seat, Hon Brenda Namukuta, has rallied NRM leaders and grassroots mobilisers to strengthen village-level mobilisation ahead of the 2026 general elections, saying unity and renewed commitment are key to securing victory for President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni and the party.

Speaking during a district mobilisation meeting held Saturday, November 08, at the Kaliro District Headquarters Court Hall, the legislator called on the NRM District Executive Committee and local party members to revitalise village structures and expand mobilisation teams to reinforce the ruling party’s dominance in the region.

The MP revealed that each village already has a core team of 60 registered NRM structure members, and called for the recruitment of at least five additional active mobilisers in every village.

“If each village strengthens its mobilisation team and activates all existing structures, we can easily guarantee a base of about 300 votes per village. That is how we deliver victory for our President and the NRM,” she said.

Hon Namukuta urged party members to bury differences arising from the recent NRM primaries and instead focus on consolidating support for President Museveni and all NRM flag bearers. “We must put aside internal conflicts and remember the bigger picture. Our mission is to ensure President Museveni and the NRM win decisively in Kaliro. Unity is our strength,” she said.

The Woman MP used the platform to highlight several government projects that have transformed the district under the NRM administration.

Among the key interventions she mentioned include: the establishment of Bumanya Seed Secondary School, improving access to education, the construction of a new ward at Bumanya Health Centre IV, enhancing health service delivery, and the Parish Development Model (PDM), which has provided funding to rural households to boost local production and livelihoods.

“These are tangible achievements that show the government’s commitment to improving lives in Kaliro. Let’s rally behind the President so that unfinished projects can be completed and more development brought to our people,” Hon Namukuta urged.

The legislator concluded by calling on NRM supporters and leaders to reactivate all village mobilisation committees and coordinate closely with parish and sub-county leaders to ensure a strong voter turnout for the ruling party.

“Our victory will be determined by how well we organise at the village level. Let’s work together, reawaken our structures, and ensure President Museveni and the NRM achieve a landslide win in 2026,” she emphasized.
