Munyonyo, Uganda: The construction of Businessman Sudhir Ruparelia’s long-awaited Paradise Island Resort on Lake Victoria is now in its final phase, with structural works standing at 95% completion, developers have confirmed.
The world-class getaway, just 20 minutes by speedboat from Speke Resort Munyonyo, is poised to become Uganda’s newest premium destination for honeymooners, leisure travellers and corporate retreat groups.
The resort, whose construction began on May 1, 2021, is part of a deliberate push to elevate both domestic and international tourism, offering guests an exclusive blend of luxury, privacy and nature-infused tranquillity on the famed lake.
A Vision Led by Sheena Ruparelia

The project is spearheaded by Ms Sheena Ruparelia, daughter of businessman and Ruparelia Group Chairman Dr Sudhir Ruparelia, whose leadership has overseen the transformation of the island into a modern, eco-friendly hospitality haven designed to rival top regional destinations.
Paradise Resort development began with 22 units, and an additional 16 units were added during the second phase as demand projections grew.
The Resort now boasts an impressive accommodation portfolio that blends natural beauty with refined luxury. It comprises of 10 Standard Cottages, 11 Standard Cliff Hanger Cottages with sweeping lake views, 14 Deluxe 2BHK Cottages, and 3 Executive Villas meticulously designed for premium seclusion.
