Kampala, Uganda: Kampala Standard Primary & Nursery School, Kyanja has been named the winner of the 2024/2025 Public Opinions Responsible Investment Global Award, after its recognition as the Best Primary School in Kampala for its outstanding Young Engineer Mentorship programme.

The institution has also been inducted into the prestigious 2024/2025 Responsible Investment Journal by Public Opinions.

The recognition places Kampala Standard among leading education institutions that demonstrate excellence, innovation and a strong commitment to responsible investment in shaping Uganda’s next generation of thinkers and problem-solvers.

Public Opinions noted that the school’s Young Engineer Mentorship programme has become a model for nurturing STEM abilities in early learners, positioning them for future careers in engineering, robotics and technology.

Founded with a mission to deliver modern, practical and learner-centred education, Kampala Standard Primary & Nursery School has earned a reputation for its holistic approach that blends academics, skills development, character formation and digital literacy.

The school has invested heavily in classroom technology, well-equipped laboratories, child-friendly learning spaces and a highly trained teaching staff committed to personalised instruction.

In recent years, the school has registered remarkable achievements, including topping division-wide academic assessments, winning interschool STEM fairs and securing multiple awards in robotics, maths exhibitions and spelling competitions. Its Young Engineer Mentorship initiative has consistently produced top-performing pupils who have competed nationally and regionally in science and innovation events.

Parents say the school’s success is a reflection of its deliberate focus on quality teaching, discipline, and values-driven education. Many describe Kampala Standard as an institution that “brings out the hidden abilities in every child,” with teachers praised for close supervision, regular feedback and nurturing confidence among learners.

“My child has transformed academically and socially since joining this school,” said Mukiibi Ernest, a parent. “The teachers are committed, the learning environment is excellent, and the pupils are encouraged to think beyond the classroom. The engineering programme has opened my daughter’s eyes to possibilities I never imagined.”

Another parent noted that the school stands out for its consistency in academic performance and innovation. “Kampala Standard is not just teaching; they are shaping future leaders. The discipline, communication and hands-on learning are exceptional,” she said.

Administrators at Kampala Standard Primary & Nursery School say the global award affirms their commitment to producing well-rounded, globally competitive learners who are equipped with practical skills from an early age.

The Management says such a recognition from Public Opinions will further motivate the school to strengthen its mentorship programmes, expand its innovation hubs and enhance its teaching methodologies.
