Kampala, Uganda: Watoto Church has unveiled comprehensive security, traffic management and medical preparedness measures ahead of the Christmas Cantata 2025, where thousands of worshippers are expected to attend the annual festive event in Kampala.

In a press statement issued on Monday, December 15, 2025, Watoto Church said it has partnered with the Uganda Police Force and city authorities to ensure safety, public order and smooth movement during the five-day celebration.

The announcement was made during a joint press briefing attended by Watoto Church leadership and police officials.

Speaking at the briefing, Pastor Julius Rwotlonyo, the Senior Pastor and Team Leader at Watoto Church, said the church’s priority is to guarantee a safe, joyful and well-organised experience for all attendees.

“We desire to create a safe and joyful experience for every person who attends this year’s Cantata. With strong support from the Uganda Police and other city authorities, we are confident that everyone will enjoy attending Christmas Cantata with peace and ease,” Pastor Rwotlonyo said.

To ease transport to and from the venue, he said Watoto Church has partnered with SafeBoda, offering safe and reliable transport services, including special discounts for attendees travelling to and from Old Kampala Senior Secondary School.

The church also announced that Karis Medical will provide medical services throughout the Cantata, including on-site medical personnel, blood pressure checks, general first aid services and doctors available for consultation.

Andy Kristian Agaba, the Team Leader and CEO at Karis Medical, said attendees will also have access to wellness vouchers and discounted healthcare plans during the event.

The 2025 Christmas Cantata will be held at Old Kampala Senior Secondary School, selected for its space, accessibility and capacity to safely host large crowds.
