Kampala, Uganda: The United States (U.S.) Exchange Alumni Network Uganda (USEA) and Node Group have signed a strategic public relations Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at amplifying leadership, civic engagement, entrepreneurship, and education across Uganda.
The partnership, formalised on January 20, 2026, brings together USEA’s nationwide alumni footprint—spanning more than 6,000 Ugandans who have benefited from U.S. government-funded exchange programmes—and Node Group’s communications expertise to strengthen national conversations on development, inclusion and innovation.
Under the agreement, Node Group will provide professional PR and communications support to USEA, including strategic media planning, press coordination, event publicity, project implementation support and end-to-end communications management.
USEA leaders said the collaboration is anchored in the belief that purposeful communication is a catalyst for social change, and will unlock new opportunities, improve visibility for alumni-led initiatives and attract partners aligned with community transformation.
Node Group Chief Executive Officer Ian Rumanyika said the partnership reinforces the firm’s commitment to purpose-driven work while plugging the brand into a national network of innovators.
“This partnership amplifies USEA’s legacy while reinforcing Node Group’s commitment to visionary, purpose-driven initiatives,” Rumanyika said. “By joining forces, we are plugging our brand into the collective heartbeat of Uganda’s most daring visionaries.”

USEA President Owomugisha Blessing Immaculate said the alliance will be critical as the alumni network rolls out Community Resource Centers across Uganda’s five regions to support learning and local development.
“Our mission is to champion sustainable community transformation led by Ugandans who have benefited from U.S. exchange and education programmes,” Owomugisha said. “Node Group’s amplification will be instrumental in attracting the right partners and strengthening stakeholder engagement across Uganda and beyond.”
Welcoming the collaboration, Kato Chrysestom, Alumni Coordinator at the U.S. Embassy in Uganda, said strategic communications partnerships are essential to sustaining and scaling alumni impact.
“USEA continues to demonstrate how alumni networks can be powerful drivers of development,” Chrysestom said. “Strategic communication partnerships like this one with Node Group will help extend that impact even further.”
USEA brings together professionals applying skills gained in the United States across leadership and governance, entrepreneurship, education, health, media and civil society.
