Kampala, Uganda: Victoria University Kampala has officially opened its March 2026 intake, unveiling two cutting-edge undergraduate degree programmes in Artificial Intelligence and Cybersecurity, as the institution deepens its focus on future-ready, technology-driven education.
The new programmes, Bachelor of Science in Artificial Intelligence and Data Sciences and Bachelor of Science in Cybersecurity and Digital Forensics, are aimed at equipping students with practical, industry-relevant skills aligned to the fast-evolving global digital economy.
University officials said the introduction of the programmes reflects Victoria University’s strategic commitment to producing graduates who can compete globally and respond to emerging labour market demands.
“The world is rapidly shifting toward data-driven decision-making and digital security. These programmes ensure our students are not just participants in this transformation, but leaders,” a university representative said.
The Artificial Intelligence and Data Sciences degree focuses on machine learning, data analytics, automation, intelligent systems and applied AI, preparing graduates for careers in technology, finance, healthcare, research, innovation and enterprise solutions.
On the other hand, the Cybersecurity and Digital Forensics programme responds to the growing threat of cybercrime and digital insecurity. Students will be trained in network security, ethical hacking, cyber investigations, digital forensics and cyber law, skills that are increasingly sought after by governments, financial institutions, telecom companies and global corporations.
The March intake is open to applicants across certificate, diploma, undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, offering flexible learning schedules, modern teaching facilities and a strong emphasis on employability and hands-on training.
Over the years, Victoria University has positioned itself as one of Uganda’s most innovative universities, particularly in technology-driven disciplines, entrepreneurship and applied learning.
Prospective students are encouraged to apply early as competition for the newly launched programmes is expected to be high.
