Kampala, Uganda: The 2025 Primary Leaving Examination (PLE) results have officially been released by the First Lady and Minister of Education and Sports, Janet Kataha Museveni, which now allows parents and guardians to instantly access candidates’ results using mobile phones.
The results were released Friday, January 30, at State House Nakasero, following a briefing by the Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) led by Executive Director Dr Dan Odongo.
Following the release, UNEB has now confirmed that results can be accessed via SMS on both MTN Uganda and Airtel Uganda networks by following the steps below.
How to Check 2025 PLE Results on Phone
- Ensure you are using MTN or Airtel network
- Go to the Messages menu on your mobile phone
- Type PLE
- Leave a space
- Enter the full index number of the candidate
- Send the message to 6600
The candidate’s results will be delivered instantly to the phone if the correct format is followed.
UNEB has advised parents and guardians to ensure the index number is typed correctly to avoid failed requests.
In addition to SMS access, results for each examination centre have been uploaded to the UNEB online portal, while hard copies will be available to District and City Inspectors of Schools from UNEB offices at Ntinda starting February 2, 2026.
