Kampala, Uganda: Kampala Standard Nursery and Primary School has once again emerged among the best-performing schools in Kampala in the 2025 Primary Leaving Examination (PLE), posting an exceptional 96 per cent Division One pass rate.
According to the results released on Friday by the Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB), 43 out of 45 candidates from the school attained Division One, while the remaining two candidates (4%) passed in Division Two, with no learner falling in lower divisions.
The results reaffirm the school’s dominance in national examinations and place it among Kampala’s top PLE-performing institutions for the fourth consecutive year.
The strong showing comes barely a month after Kampala Standard Nursery and Primary School brought international recognition to Uganda after winning a global award in the Young Engineers category, which recognises excellence in STEM mentorship and innovation at primary level.

Education observers say the back-to-back success underscores the school’s consistent investment in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM), where learners are introduced to practical problem-solving skills from an early age.
School administrators attribute the performance to visionary leadership, dedicated teaching staff and a learner-centred approach, which have positioned the institution as a model for both local and international education standards.
The school’s trajectory reflects a sustained trend of excellence. In 2024, the Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) recognised Kampala Standard Nursery and Primary School as the third-best PLE-performing school in Kampala, following another strong national showing.

With a perfect transition rate into top secondary schools and a growing reputation in innovation-led learning, the school continues to strengthen Uganda’s profile in education excellence on the global stage.
