Kampala, Uganda: Police in Kampala have arrested two suspects in connection with the murder of a 24-year-old TikToker and businesswoman, Namulinde Diana, popularly known as Diana Skyz, who was found dead in her apartment in Kyanja, Kawempe Division.
Kampala Metropolitan Police deputy spokesperson ASP Luke Owoyesigyire says the murder of Diana Skyz, classified as aggravated robbery and murder by strangulation, is believed to have occurred on the night of February 3, 2026, with the body discovered the following day.
Diana, according to police, lived alone in an apartment in Kwaata Zone, Kyanja Ward, where her body was found on February 4 after friends, unable to reach her, went to check on her and found the apartment door open.
“Police at Kira Road are investigating a case of aggravated robbery and murder by strangulation that occurred on the night of 3rd February 2026 in Kwaata Zone, Kyanja Ward, Kawempe Division, Kampala City. The deceased has been identified as Namulinde Diana, a 24-year-old businesswoman and social media content creator, who was living alone in an apartment in Kyanja. Her body was discovered on 4th February 2026 after friends went to check on her and found her apartment open, said ASP Owoyesigyire in a statement released on Thursday morning.
One of the suspects arrested, according to the KMP deputy spokesperson, is a security guard attached to the premises, who was found in possession of items suspected to have been stolen from the apartment.
“Earlier the same day, police arrested a security guard attached to the premises after he was found in possession of items suspected to have been stolen. Some of the recovered items were later identified as belonging to the deceased,” he said.
Oqoyesigyire added that a team of homicide detectives and Scenes of Crime Officers visited and documented the scene, recovered exhibits and recorded statements from relevant witnesses as investigations continue.
“So far, three suspects have been identified, and two have been arrested to assist with investigations,” he confirmed, adding that “The body of the deceased was conveyed to KCCA Mulago City Mortuary for postmortem examination.”
Police say inquiries are ongoing to establish the motive behind the killing and the exact roles played by each suspect.
