Paidha, Uganda: FUFA Big League side Paidha Black Angels SC have sealed a landmark one-year renewable sponsorship deal with Chill Out Lounge, marking a rare commercial breakthrough for one of West Nile’s most storied community clubs.

The memorandum of understanding was signed on Friday, February 6, 2026, at Chill Out Lounge in Paidha Town, with club officials and fans turning up in numbers to witness what both sides described as a transformative partnership.

Under the agreement, Chill Out Lounge becomes the official Man of the Match sponsor for all Paidha Black Angels home fixtures, with winners receiving a branded plaque and Shs50,000 cash immediately after the final whistle. The award will be fan-driven, with voting conducted through the club’s social media platforms between the 75th and 80th minute.

Derick Passy, Communications Director at Chill Out Lounge, said the deal reflects shared values and deep community ties.

“This is the biggest milestone between the two entities. Paidha Black Angels is a brand name across northern Uganda — our grandfathers were part of this club,” he said.

Chill Out Lounge Managing Director Hellen Okecho described the partnership as mutually beneficial, saying it will boost visibility and revenue for both the entertainment venue and the club, while strengthening community engagement.

For Paidha Black Angels — founded in 1979 and historically sustained by fans and well-wishers — the sponsorship marks a turning point after years without consistent corporate backing despite one of the region’s most loyal followings.

Club PRO Francis Otwikende Thomas called the deal “a major milestone in the club’s history,” pledging full adherence to the MoU, while Treasurer Sabili Biloyoperi said the partnership builds on earlier informal support extended by the lounge during player recruitment.

What the deal includes

  • Headline Sponsorship: Chill Out Lounge Man of the Match award at every home game
  • Brand Integration: Digital graphics, matchday posters, social media content, press releases and pitch-side branding (where permitted)
  • Exclusive Venue Use: Monthly Paidha Black Angels theme nights at Chill Out Lounge, with gate collections going to the club
  • Category Exclusivity: No rival bar or lounge partnerships in West Nile during the MoU period

The agreement takes immediate effect and includes a mid-season review after six months.

Currently sitting 8th in the FUFA Big League, the Zombo-based side are preparing for a decisive second-round push as they keep promotion ambitions alive.
