GUIDE: How to Check 2025 UCE Results on Your Phone

Here is how to check your 2025 UCE results via SMS on MTN and Airtel as UNEB releases record-breaking results under the Competency-Based Curriculum with a 99.69% national qualification rate.

Kampala, Uganda: The Minister of Education and Sports Friday officially released the 2025 Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) results, with the Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) directing candidates and parents to access results digitally through SMS and online school portals.

UNEB Executive Director Dan N. Odongo announced that hard copies of results are not currently available for collection at UNEB offices. Instead, all results have been uploaded to examination centre portals, enabling headteachers to download and print official statements immediately.

The move marks a continuation of UNEB’s digital-first distribution strategy under the Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC).

How to Check 2025 UCE Results on Your Phone

Candidates and parents can instantly access results using a mobile phone by following these steps:

  1. Open the Messages (SMS) application on your phone.
  2. Select Compose New Message.
  3. Type UCE in capital letters.
  4. Leave one space.
  5. Enter the candidate’s full index number (including the slash). For example, UCE U1234/567
  6. Send the message to 6600.

The results summary will be sent back via SMS shortly after processing.

Heads of examination centres have 21 working days from the date of release to submit corrections regarding candidate names or dates of birth through UNEB’s digital portals. Queries submitted beyond this period may not be considered.
