Stanbic Uganda Cup: Big guns learn fate in Round of 32 draw

SC Villa, KCCA FC and defending champions Vipers SC have learned their opponents for the 2026 Stanbic Uganda Cup Round of 32, with matches set for February 21–28.

Kampala, Uganda: Ugandan football giants SC Villa, KCCA FC and Vipers SC learned their opponents for the 2026 Stanbic Uganda Cup Round of 32 following the draw held at FUFA House in Mengo on Wednesday.

Nine-time champions SC Villa will host BUL FC in one of the standout fixtures of the round, while record 10-time winners KCCA FC entertain Mbarara City at the MTN Omondi Stadium, Lugogo.

Defending champions Vipers SC have been handed a home tie against third division side Pajule Lions at St Mary’s Stadium, Kitende.

Other Uganda Premier League sides also face tricky encounters include Police FC vs Lugazi FC, UPDF FC vs NEC FC, URA FC vs Blacks Power FC, Kitara FC vs Entebbe UPPC FC and Ntugasaze FC vs Express FC.

National Representation

The tournament continues to show national representation. Kampala leads with nine teams, including KCCA, SC Villa, Police, NEC, Express and URA.

Buganda follows with six teams, such as Vipers, Entebbe UPPC, UPDF and Lugazi. Western Uganda has five representatives including Mbarara City and Kigezi Home Boyz.

Eastern Uganda fields four teams, Northern Uganda has three, while West Nile is represented by Onduparaka. North Eastern Uganda and Kitara region also have strong representation.

The Round of 32 matches will be played between February 21 and 28, 2026.
