Kampala, Uganda: The FUFA Women Super League returns this weekend with six matches lined up as the title race intensifies between joint leaders Kawempe Muslim Ladies FC and She Corporate FC.

Both teams are level on 32 points at the summit of the table, making every result critical as the season enters a decisive stage.

Two matches will be played on Saturday, while four fixtures are scheduled for Sunday across different venues.

Saturday’s action will see Kawempe Muslim Ladies FC travel to Luzira to face She Maroons FC at the Prisons Grounds Luzira.

Kawempe head into the match with confidence following an impressive performance last weekend, where their attacking play from wide areas proved decisive.

The Valley Warriors have relied heavily on their wing play this season, with Jovia Nakogolo combining effectively with Latifah Nakasi on the flanks to stretch opposition defences and deliver dangerous crosses.

Their midfield unit has also played a crucial role in maintaining possession and controlling the tempo of matches.

However, She Maroons FC will be aiming for their first win of the second round. Playing at home, they are expected to adopt a compact defensive setup and rely on quick counterattacks.

Limiting Kawempe’s space on the wings and maintaining defensive discipline will be key if they are to stop the league leaders.

In Soroti, Kampala Queens FC will face Olila High School WFC as they attempt to keep pressure on the teams above them in the standings.

Kampala Queens appear to be finding rhythm in attack following the arrival of Rinah Ariho and Loyce Komugisha during the January transfer window.

Experienced players such as Zaituni Namaganda and Kamiyati continue to provide stability in midfield, while Catherine Nagadya leads the attack and remains among the contenders for the golden boot this season.

Despite failing to register a win so far this campaign, Olila High School WFC could still pose a threat, particularly at home.

Much of their attacking play revolves around Lotyang Mary, whose creativity helps launch quick counterattacks.

She Corporate Host Lady Doves

Attention will shift to Sunday when joint leaders She Corporate FC host Lady Doves FC at the FUFA Technical Centre Njeru.

She Corporate have been one of the most consistent teams this season, impressing with their tactical discipline and flexibility.

The team has shown the ability to control matches through structured build-up play and aggressive pressing, while their January signings have added fresh energy and improved ball movement within the squad.

Lady Doves are expected to approach the encounter cautiously, focusing on defensive organisation and attempting to exploit spaces behind She Corporate’s advancing fullbacks.

Other Fixtures

At Mutesa II Stadium, Wankulukuku, St Noa Girls FC will host Rines SS WFC in what promises to be another competitive encounter. Both sides head into the match in good form after collecting four points from their last two matches.

Elsewhere, Uganda Martyrs High School WFC will take on Makerere University WFC at St Gerald’s Ground, Lubaga, with both teams seeking to bounce back after defeats in their previous fixtures.

In the final match of the weekend, Asubo Ladies FC will host Amus College WFC at Kampala Quality Ground.

Asubo are still searching for their first win of the season and will hope to improve both their defensive organisation and finishing in front of goal.
