ONC Manager Hajjat Hadijah Namyalo today distributed Ramadan food aid to Muslim communities in Kyambogo-Banda and Mutungo urging responsible family life.

ONC Manager Hajjat Hadijah Namyalo Uzeiye hands over Ramadan food packages to Muslim leaders at Masjid Abubakar Al-Swaddiq in Kyambogo-Banda.

Kampala, Uganda: The Manager of the Office of the National Chairman (ONC), Hadijah Namyalo Uzeiye, has extended her Ramadan food distribution initiative to Muslim communities in Kyambogo-Banda and Mutungo, urging compassion, responsible family life and community solidarity during the holy fasting month.

Namyalo, who also serves as Senior Presidential Advisor on Political Affairs, began the Thursday outreach at Masjid Abubakar Al-Swaddiq in Kyambogo-Banda, where she handed over assorted food items to mosque leaders to support Muslim families observing Ramadan.

She later proceeded to Masjid Taqwa in Mutungo Zone Four, delivering similar food packages to members of the Muslim community to assist households during the fasting period.

Supporting families during Ramadan
Speaking during the handover ceremonies, Namyalo said the initiative is intended to help Muslim families observe Ramadan with dignity while strengthening the spirit of charity and unity associated with the holy month.

“Ramadan is a month of reflection, charity and community support. These food packages are meant to ensure that families in our communities can break their fast with dignity and joy,” Namyalo said.

She added that acts of giving during Ramadan strengthen community bonds and promote compassion among neighbours.

Call for responsible family life

Namyalo also used the outreach to counsel men in the communities about responsible family life, urging them to marry only the number of wives they can adequately support.

“Marriage is a sacred responsibility. Men should marry wives they can manage to support emotionally, spiritually and materially. This ensures stronger families and healthier communities,” she said.

Leaders at the two mosques welcomed the donation, describing it as timely support for vulnerable families during the fasting period.

Muslim community members said the food packages would help many households break their fast without hardship while also appreciating Namyalo’s message on responsible family leadership.

The ONC Manager said the Ramadan outreach is part of her broader efforts under the Office of the National Chairman to support community welfare and strengthen social cohesion.

She encouraged residents to use the holy month to practice generosity, promote harmony within families and extend kindness to neighbours.
