FUFA WSL: Kawempe Muslim, She Corporate renew rivalry in title race battle

Kawempe Muslim Ladies host table leaders She Corporate in a crucial FUFA Women Super League Matchday 15 clash that could shape the title race.

Kampala, Uganda: Title rivals Kawempe Muslim Ladies FC and She Corporate FC will headline Matchday 15 of the FUFA Women Super League this weekend in a clash that could significantly influence the title race.

The two sides will face off on Sunday at Kawempe Muslim Ground, with table leaders She Corporate aiming to protect their advantage at the top.

She Corporate currently lead the standings with 35 points, two ahead of Kawempe, meaning victory for the visitors would widen their gap in the race for the championship.

Kawempe chasing top spot

Kawempe Muslim Ladies will be targeting maximum points in front of their home supporters to reclaim the top position.

The hosts secured a 2–0 victory over She Corporate in their first-round meeting earlier this season.

Kawempe’s attacking build-up is expected to revolve around midfielder Agnes Nabukenya, who links defence to attack and frequently combines with forward Dorcus Kisakye.

The hosts could also rely on the pace of Jovia Nakogolo and Asia Nakibuuka to stretch the She Corporate defence on the wings.

However, Kawempe’s defensive midfield has shown vulnerability in recent matches, an area She Corporate may attempt to exploit.

She Corporate banking on defensive strength

She Corporate have enjoyed a strong campaign built on defensive organisation and tactical discipline.

The league leaders have not conceded a goal in the second round and have recorded nine clean sheets this season.

Forward Jesca Namanda is expected to lead the line as She Corporate look to capitalise on counterattacking opportunities and set pieces.

Recent meetings between the two sides underline how competitive the rivalry has become.

In their last seven encounters, Kawempe have won once, She Corporate twice, while four matches ended in draws.
