KAMULI, UGANDA: Uganda Baati Ltd has expanded its footprint with the opening of its 20th showroom in Kamuli Municipality, pledging enhanced innovation, customer service, and access to quality construction materials.

The new facility is expected to serve customers from Kamuli and neighbouring districts including Buyende, Kaliro, and Luuka, bringing services closer to the growing construction market in the region.

Speaking at the launch, Head of Service Centres Patrick Katende said the showroom will go beyond product sales to offer technical support and customer engagement.

“We are leaders in innovation with superior quality products. This showroom is not just a selling point—it is a centre for consultation, feedback, and continuous improvement to better serve our customers,” Katende said.

He showcased a range of roofing products including Resincot, Covermax, Versatile, Romantile, and Orientile, alongside construction solutions designed to enhance durability and modern building standards.

Kamuli Resident District Commissioner Rose Birungi welcomed the development, noting that it will help eliminate middlemen who often exploit customers and supply substandard materials.

“This is a timely intervention that brings services closer to the people. With ongoing construction projects in the district, Uganda Baati is well-positioned to support quality infrastructure development,” Birungi said.

Chief Administrative Officer Ben Lawrence Marley urged the company to deepen its presence through corporate social responsibility initiatives, including constructing demonstration buildings to showcase product quality.

“We encourage Uganda Baati to put up demonstration structures so that customers can physically see and appreciate the quality of their products,” he said.

Local leaders also called for flexible payment options such as hire purchase arrangements to make products more accessible to civil servants and contractors.

The new showroom marks another milestone in Uganda Baati’s over six decades of service, as the company continues to position itself as a key player in Uganda’s construction and housing sector.
