Kampala, Uganda: Ruth Nakisuyi Biribawa Safia, mother of Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) President, Eng Hon Moses Hashim Magogo, has passed away at the age of 82.
Magogo announced the passing of his mother in a message shared Wednesday evening on X, saying his mother had “gone back to Allah” after a long life.
“Inalilahi wa inalilahi Rajihuun. Maama Nakisuyi Ruth Biribawa Safia (my biological mother) has gone back to Allah at 82 years. We thank Allah for the time He has lent her to us,” he wrote.

Family sources indicated that Mama Nakisuyi passed away peacefully on Wednesday afternoon at Kampala Hospital.
Magogo’s spouse, Speaker Anita Annet Among, described mother Nakisuyi’s passing as a profound loss to the family. “We deeply appreciate your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. May the Almighty Allah grant her eternal peace, Inna Lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un,” she said.
Burial arrangements have been scheduled for Friday, April 10, 2026, at the family home in Nalina, Kagulu, Buyende District, while a vigil will be held on Thursday, April 9, at the same residence ahead of the burial.
The family has called on relatives, friends, and well-wishers to join them in prayers during this period of mourning.
