Kampala, Uganda: The 2025/26 Finance Trust Bank FUFA Women Super League title race has reached a boiling point, with table leaders Kawempe Muslim Ladies FC and second-placed She Corporate FC separated by just one point as the season heads into its final four matches.

Matchday 19 this weekend could prove pivotal in shaping the destination of the title, with both sides facing tricky fixtures that could define their championship ambitions.

She Corporate FC travel to Soroti to face bottom-placed Olila High School WFC at Olila Ground on Saturday. While Olila are yet to register a win this season, their defensive discipline has proven stubborn, and they could frustrate the title contenders.

She Corporate will rely heavily on their top scorer Jesca Namanda, who leads the scoring charts with 14 goals. Her sharp movement and finishing ability remain central to the Sharks’ attacking threat as they push to keep pressure on the leaders.

Meanwhile, Kawempe Muslim Ladies FC will be wary of a potential upset when they visit Makerere University WFC on Sunday at Nsibirwa Ground.

Makerere are among the few teams to have beaten Kawempe this season, securing a 2-0 victory earlier in the campaign. Their compact defensive structure and quick transitions could once again pose a serious challenge.

However, Kawempe will look to their consistency and attacking strength, with Latifah Nakasi, just one goal behind Namanda on 13, leading the league’s scoring chart. Midfielder Dorcus Kisakye is also expected to play a key role in controlling tempo and unlocking Makerere’s defence.

Elsewhere, Uganda Martyrs H/S Lubaga WFC host Asubo Ladies FC at St Gerald Playground, with both sides eager to climb the table and finish the season strongly.

Kampala Queens FC will be aiming to bounce back when they host Amus College WFC at MTN Omondi Stadium, Lugogo, while Rines SS WFC take on Lady Doves FC at Kabaka Kyabaggu Stadium in what promises to be a tightly contested encounter.

Golden Boot Race Intensifies

The battle for the golden boot is equally fierce, mirroring the intensity of the title race.

Jesca Namanda currently leads with 14 goals, closely followed by Kawempe’s Latifah Nakasi on 13. Catherine Nagadya remains in contention with 10 goals, while Resty Kobusoboozi and Agnes Nabukenya are both on eight.

With only a handful of games remaining, every goal could prove decisive in determining both the league winner and the top scorer.
