Meet Pretty Amiirah, the youngest Ugandan artist winning hearts across the globe

Kampala City, Uganda — While many children her age are still learning how to read and write, six-year-old Pretty Amiirah is already building a remarkable career as a musician, actress, author, model and international award winner.

Born on May 27, 2020, the youngster has emerged as one of Uganda’s youngest and most celebrated child entertainers, earning recognition both at home and across Africa for her talent and determination.

Pretty Amiirah’s journey into entertainment began unusually early. At just three years old, she stepped into a recording studio and released her debut song titled Mummy, marking the beginning of a career that has since seen her become a household name among children’s entertainers.

Today, the Primary One pupil at Tictime Junior School in Senge, Wakiso District, is balancing classroom lessons with a growing list of achievements that many seasoned entertainers would envy.

More Than Just a Musician

Although widely known for her music, Pretty Amiirah’s talents extend far beyond singing. She is also an actress, author, model and content creator.

Her acting talent earned her the Youngest Actress Award at the Gala Awards in Nigeria in 2025, while her musical journey was recognised in Tanzania where she received the Rising Star Award.

She also earned a Special Mention accolade at South Africa’s 7th Annual African Children Awards and was recognised as a Young Content Creator at the Shining Stars Awards in Rwanda.

These accolades have cemented her status as one of Africa’s fastest-rising child entertainers.

Beauty Pageant Success

Beyond music and acting, Pretty Amiirah has also excelled in the beauty and fashion industry.

In 2025, she was crowned Best Inclusive Queen ToTo 2025/2026 during a children’s fashion runway competition.

The same year, she added another prestigious title to her growing résumé when she was crowned ToTo Miss Pearl of Africa International during the Little Miss Pearl of Africa pageants.

The titles elevated her profile and opened doors for greater participation in regional and international children’s events.

Brand Ambassador and Role Model

As her influence continues to grow, several organisations have entrusted her with ambassadorial roles.
