Leaders and supporters of the opposition Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) party have today at their headquarters in Najjanankumbi on Entebbe Road unveiled their special converts crossing over from the Democratic Party as they launched the FDC Election Roadmap for 2021 elections.
The new recruits are Kampala incumbent Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago (who is alledgedly seeking presidential bid in FDC) and Mukono Municipality MP Betty Nambooze (DP). Other converts also include Rubaga North MP Moses Kasibante and Makindye MP Allan Ssewanyanam all crossing over from DP.
Among the FDC Party leaders who graced the function today afternoon include Vice President for Western Region Roland Kaginda, party president Patrick Amuriat, patron Dr Kizza Besigye.
This defection comes at a time when FDC is crumbling following the exit of its prominent members like Paul Mwiru, Angelina Osegge, Odonga Otto, Herbert Ariko among others.
