BREAKING! FDC’s Amuriat Announces bid to run for President in 2021 polls

With opposition stalwart Dr. Kizza Besigye opting out of the 2021 polls citing the credibility of the process, current FDC President Eng. Patrick Amuriat has on Tuesday announced he will run for President.

In a statement that first appeared on the Facebook wall of National Female Youth MP, Anne Adeke, Mr. Amuriat, commonly known as POA said  that he will be picking nomination forms for the FDC flagbearer on Wednesday, ready to run for President.

The statement adds:
“I have this day of 17th August, 2020 taken a conscious decision to offer myself as candidate for President of Uganda. For this to happen I must subject myself to the internal selection process of my party, the Forum for Democratic Change, FDC”.
