JUST IN: Besigyes Announces he will not stand for Presidency in 2021 Elections

Opposition bigwig Dr. Kizza Besigye has on Wednesday announced he won’t stand for presidency in looming 2021 polls, giving the reasons as to why.

Dr. Besigye, who has run against and has been runnerup to President Museveni in the previous four elections is currently addressing the Forum for Democratic Change supporters at the party headquarters at Najjanankumbi, Kampala and says after intensive internal consultations, the party leaders have decided that “we look for someone to lead our plan A” which entails running in the elections.

According to Dr. Besigye, the party’s strategy is to use elections as Plan A of the struggle to free the country from autocratic rule as the leaders prepare the population to fight in Plan B.

“But now, just leave the Plan B to me,” Dr. Besigye says on Wednesday, August 20″.
