JUST IN: Sheikh Nuhu Muzaata Batte is dead

The head of Da’awa in Uganda (Kibuli faction) Shiekh Nuhu Muzaata Batte is dead. The Public Relations officer for the Kibuli Muslim Sect has confirmed.

A renown vocal muslim cleric and Imam leader in Uganda, Muzaata passed on at International Hospital Kampala (IHK) on Friday evening where he had been hospitalized for the past two weeks.

His death comes, after false reports a few days ago, that he had died which Kibuli’s Imam Idi Kasozi dismissed.

Latif Ssebagala, the Uganda Parliament’s Imam has also confirmed the Sheikh’s untimely death.

Kawempe North MP Latif Ssebagala said Friday that Sheikh Muzaatawill be remembered as a person who fought for Islam and stuck by the truth.

“Sheikh Nuhu Muzaata has died, May Allah strengthen us this is a very difficult time.

My good friend, Imam of Imaam, you will be remembered as a person who fought for Islam and stuck by the truth,” Mr Ssebagala said.
