Ndorwa West Candidate Backs Gen. Muhoozi for Presidency

KABALE, UGANDA: Immaculate Tracy Ninsiima, an independent MP contestant for Ndorwa West has said she will support Lt. Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba the Commander Special Forces Command (SFC), if he declares to stand for presidency.

Ninsiima is the only female among the 8 candidates seeking to represent the people of Ndorwa West in Kabale district in parliament.

She says she admires Gen. Muhoozi due to his zeal to serve the country.

“Gen. Muhoozi is my personal friend. I actually get inspiration from the way he is dedicated to this country,” said Ninsiima.

The MP candidate made the remarks yesterday while addressing press at Cephas Inn in Kabale.

During the press conference, she donned a black shirt with a portrait of Gen. Muhoozi.

She said she was in fact inspired by the first son in her political career.

Just recently, social media was awash with reports that Tracy Ninsiima was an opposition candidate planted by foreigners to unseat Minister David Bahati from Ndorwa West.

However, Tracy said she was leaning towards the NRM party and a strong supporter of President Museveni. She also dismissed claims that she had foreign support.

Tracy, a Kampala based businesswoman revealed that she did not participate in the NRM Primary Election because she did not trust the process.

In the Election held in September last year, Incumbent Hon. David Bahati defeated Mr. Simpson Mpirirwe to retain the NRM flag for Ndorwa West.

Minister David Bahati has represented Ndorwa West since 2006.

Others contestants in the race include Geoffrey Nzaana of FDC, Simon Agaba, Simpson Mpirirwe, Gilbert Matsiko who are all independents.
