CONFIRMED: UPDF Captain dead following Entebbe Chopper Crash

ENTEBBE CHOPPER CRASH: Capt. Caroline Busingye, one of the two pilots who sustained injuries following an helicopter crash on Wednesday afternoon in Entebbe has died.

Busingye was flying the UPDF chopper with another cadet when the incident and two were first reported to have sustained injuries by Brig. Byekwaso but she unfortunately breathed her last on reaching hospital.

The death was announced by UPDF spokesperson Brig. Gen. Flavia Byekwaso.

“It is with sadness that we announce the passing on of Capt Caroline Busingye after she was involved in a plane crush today Afternoon in Entebbe.” read a tweet by Gen. Byekwaso.

“We Commiserate with the family of the late and the UPDF Air force fraternity during this very difficult moment,” said Brig Byekwaso

Chance Vincent Kasaija Amooti, one of Busingye’s close friends, announced her demise on his social media platform.

“Rest in Eternal Peace My Friend Capt. Busingye Carol. You have gone too soon. That’s the world and life indeed” he posted.
