AFCON U20: Byekwaso Makes one Change in Hippos Starting XI Against Ghana

Kakooza Derrick who netted a hat trick against Tunisia currently the top scorer with five goals will lead the Hippos attacking line flanked by Richard Basangwa and Ivan Asaba on either flanks.

Uganda Hippos coach Morley Byekwaso has made only one change in the Starting XI to face Ghana in the 2021 Africa U20 Cup of Nations final at the Olympic Stadium in Nouakchott on Saturday evening at 11:00pm.

Ivan Asaba replace Najib Yiga as the only change from the team that thrashed Tunisia 4-1 in Monday’s semifinal encounter.

Hippos goalkeeper Jack Komakech who has allowed only three goals into his net maintains his spot and is the few of the players that have featured every minute of the Hippos at the tournament.

Skipper Garvin Kizito Mugweri will command his unchanged backline of Aziz Kayondo, Musa Ramathan and Kenneth Ssemakula.

In a 4-3-3 system, Byaruhanga is joined by Steven Sserwadda and Isma Mugulusi in midfield.
