Sembabule District Receives 3,520 Doses of Covid-19 Vaccine

According to the district vaccination coordinator, Ms. Justine Nanyonjo, they have identified 10 sites in the district where vaccination will be conducted.

COVID-19 VACCINE | UGANDA: Sembabule district has received 3,520 doses of Covid-19 vaccine, the Daily Express confirms.

According to the district vaccination coordinator, Ms. Justine Nanyonjo, they have identified 10 sites in the district where vaccination will be conducted.

Nanyonjo said that vaccination will take place at Lwemiyaga health centre III and Ntusi, Lwebitakuli and Matete and Sembabule health center IV among others beginning on Monday March 15, with over 200 health workers already lineup for the exercise.

She says that those who were previously diagnosed with Covid-19 will not be vaccinated until after 6 months of completing their treatment.

Some health workers in the district have welcome the initiative saying the vaccination process will help much in reducing the danger of the virus which has killed many of their colleagues.

Uganda so far has recorded a total 40,535 covid-19 cases with 334 deaths registered.
