KAMPALA – With just a month later after one of his wives, Rozina Negusei visited Kampala, Senegalese-American singer, Aliaune Damala Badara popularly know as Akon is set to visit Uganda next week.
During her stay in Uganda last month in February, Negusei visited state house Entebbe where she met with president Museveni who gave her the name Estella “Ihangwe”.
Negusei would later promise to return to the pearl of Africa with her husband, Akon.
She also announced a $12 million (sh44billion) investment in Uganda’s entertainment industry adding that when she returns, they will be constructing a state-of-the-art resort in Jinja.
It is important to note that Akon as an entrepreneur is into smart cities and cryptocurrency.
He is building a smart city in his home country, Senegal dubbed ‘Akon city’ on 2,000 acres where they will only use his cryptocurrency called Akoin.
Negusei also talked about plans of promoting Uganda as a tourism destination by introducing an annual carnival that will see select artistes from across the globe perform in Uganda.
