Policeman surrenders after reportedly shooting boss dead

Sserugo Hussein, a Policeman who allegedly shot dead two of his colleagues in Kiboga district, has surrendered himself.

Sserugo, after hiding for two days, surrendered himself at Muwanga Police post and has been transferred to Kiboga Central Police Station for grilling.

The incident happened at Nakasengere, Nakasozi sub-county in Kiboga district.

Sserugo attached to Nakasengere Police Post reportedly shot dead his boss Patrick Okora who was the officer in charge of the station and one of the crime preventers, Fred Wasswa Kakuru.

The LC3 Chairman of Nakasozi sub-county, Wayub Mpagi, said he was informed by residents about the murder and alerted the Police that came to investigate the matter.

A team of investigators from Kiboga Police Station led by Hassan Katumba inspected the crime scene to ascertain the cause of the shooting.

The bodies were taken to Kiboga Hospital for a postmortem as the Police continued to hunt for the suspect.
