The newly-elected female youth councilor for Goma division in Mukono Municipality, Shannon Mubuuke is dead. The National Unity Platform (NUP) youthful leader was mysteriously found dead in the bathroom only a few weeks to her swearing-in.
“You will be missed forever and always. The beautiful moments you shared with us will always speak of a great person that you were” A friend posted on her Social pages.
Mukono Municipality Member of Parliament, Betty Nambooze says she has been so shocked and devastated by the sad news.
“She woke up healthy and okay and even engaged others on WhatsApp groups of Mukono Municipality,” Nambooze narrated.
Nambooze described Mubuuke as a young, beautiful,confident and bold young lady.
The National Unity Platform (NUP) candidate Mubuuke won the youth elections in Goma Division and was preparing for swearing in.
In the race, Mubuuke a NUP candidate polled 149, Nakamanya Rachel independent got 63 and Edith Tumuhiirwe of the NRM trailed with 44 votes.
