MENGO: The National Unity Platform ticket holder Ashiraf Male was on Wednesday, May 05, announced the new Guild President-elect of Muteesa 1 Royal University following a tightly contested race.
Male of the NUP ticket was endorsed by Kyambogo’s John Mbaziira and Makerere’s David Musiri who physically went to the Rubaga-based campus to campaign for him.
Similarly, NUP’s Nakayita Maria Gorreth was also voted Guild President at Muteesa 1 Royal University – Kirumba Masaka campus on the same date.
NUP continues to claim dominance of the University guild elections having won Kyambogo University (John Mbaziira) with the Makerere University Guild elections in waiting tomorrow (Friday May 07, 2021).
