KAMPALA: Uganda Funeral Services Managing Director, Ms. Regina Mukiibi Mugongo is dead.
Regina lost the battle to Covid-19 on Tuesday morning at Entebbe International Airport as she was being flown out for further treatment.
“May Almighty God rest her soul in eternal peace and comfort the Catholic Church fraternity, friends and family,” a close source told the press, moments after Regina had breathed her last.
Her death comes at a time when 956 Ugandans have already succumbed to the scourge that was confirmed in the country in March 2021.
Uganda on Monday commenced the administration of the second AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine in the government’s efforts to forestall the spread of the scourge.
