KAMPALA: Katwe Police is investigating a shooting incident that happened yesterday, July 14, 2021, at around 10:16 pm in Natete Parish leaving one man dead on spot.
The deceased a one Magidu Mugwanya, 43, is a resident of Kibumbiro B Zone, Busega Parish, Rubaga Division in Kampala City.
The Kampala Metropolitan Police Deputy spokesperson ASP Luke Owoyesigire confirmed the news to journalists saying the deceased “could have been shot as a result of an argument at a bar joint belonging to one Patience who has since been arrested to help police with the investigations.”
“She is also likely to be charged for operating a bar something that is against Covid-19 guidelines issued by the ministry of health.”
Detectives have recovered two pistol cartridges found at the scene and items from the deceased’s car as part of exhibits as investigations proceed to identify the suspect.
The body of the deceased was conveyed to the mortuary for a post mortem.
