KAMPALA | BUSINESS: Property Mogul Sudhir Ruparelia the lead proprietor of Crane Management Services Ltd (CMS) has opened up his various shopping malls, plazas, and arcades and urged tenants and clients to strictly observe the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) put in place by the Ministry of Health.
These buildings under the management of CMS among others include; Kampala Boulevard, Eagle Plaza, Hardware Plaza, Market Plaza, and Royal Plaza, among others.
Sudhir has directed the management of CMS to ensure that all tenants inside these malls and arcades wear face masks, should sanitise at all times, wash hands regularly, and above all observe social distance.
Accordingly, 24-hr Surveillance has been put in place to ensure compliance with the mentioned SOPs.
Prabhat Mishra, the General Manager Crane Management Services said that among the SoPs put in place at all our facilities include;
The Social Distancing Stickers at every 2 meters inside the buildings to avoid overcrowding.
All arcade entry and Exit points are clearly marked with placed sanitizers and Hand Wash cans.
Our arcades consist of modern toilets for both ladies, men and Person with Disabilities (PDWs) with soap dispensers and hand wash sanitizers.
While addressing the nation on Friday about the status of Covid-19 in Uganda, President Yoweri Museveni said that Malls, arcades, and other business centres can open and must strictly follow all SOPs.
Registration of shop owners and attendants is a MUST. “Only those arcades that conform to the above guidelines will be allowed to open. In addition, failure to conform to any of the above will lead to closure,” President Museveni said.
