Former VP Ssekandi pays Museveni a courtesy visit

KAMPALA – Former Vice President Edward Kiwanuka Ssekandi on Tuesday paid President Yoweri Museveni a courtesy visit at State Lodge, Nakasero in Kampala.

According to a statement released by Museveni, the two discussed several topics during their meeting held on Tuesday afternoon.

“Former Vice President Edward Kiwanuka Ssekandi paid me a courtesy visit at Nakasero State Lodge this afternoon and we held discussions on several topics,” Museveni said in a message shared via his Twitter handle.

On June 8, President Museveni replaced Ssekandi with Maj. (rtd) Jessica Alupo as the new vice president.

Ssekandi’s visit was shortly after Museveni had hosted the Buganda King, Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II at State House in Nakasero yesterday. The Kabaka was accompanied by the Katikkiro, Charles Peter Mayiga, and Prince David Wasajja.
