The Aviation Police at the Entebbe International Airport has arrested a 29-year-old man on charges of forgery and falsification of documents.

Peter Ssempebwa, a resident of Kabuuma zone, Makindye Division in Kampala district, was arrested on August 3, with forged travel documents, Covid-19 certificates, Yellow fever immunization cards, and Interpol letter, among others.

Kampala Metropolitan Deputy Police Spokesperson, Mr. Luke Owoyesigire says Ssempebwa has been on a hunted list for a long time but has been eluding arrest.

‘We first intercepted nine migrant workers who were traveling to Saudi Arabia with fake documents on April 14,’ intimated Owoyesigire, adding that police went ahead to arrest the company owner Jacob Owola who consequently revealed the identity of Ssempebwa.
