KAMPALA, UGANDA: The Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) on Friday, August 20, released the Results of the 2020 Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) examination.
A total of 98,392 candidates registered for the 2020 UACE examination from 1,952 centres compared to 104,476 candidates from 2,094 centres in 2019, a decline of 6,084 candidates. Of these, a total of 26,602 passed with a minimum of two principle passes, while 19,015 with 1 principle pass, and 9,616 passed with 1 subsidiary.
In a report conducted by Ugstandard, Wakiso District emerged on the top again with the most schools listed in the top-performing schools in 2020 UACE countrywide. The best schools in Wakiso among others include; St.Marys SS, Kitende and Uganda Martyrs SS, Namugongo topping the list, with 17 candidates scoring 20 in 20 pts, while Kings College, Budo posted 14 students, while St.Marys College, Kisubi managed 10, garnering 20 in 20 pts.
