Chameleone speaks out for the first time after being discharged

Legendary singer Joseph Mayanja popularly known as Dr. Jose Chameleone has finally spoken out the first time since being discharged from hospital where he has been bedridden since last week.

The news of Chameleone’s ailment made rounds last week indicating leaving many of his fans and Ugandans at large worried about his life.

The “Basiima Ogenze” singer who was admitted at Nakasero Hospital is said to have been battling a liver and pancreas disorders allegedly caused by too much alcohol and smoking.

However, Chameleone’s wife Daniella Atim Mayanja (who is based in their other home in the U.S) rubbished the social media claims and revealed that the legendary superstar was suffering from Pylori which is treatable with consistent treatment.

Ugandans got a sigh of relief on Monday evening when photos of Chameleone back at his home in Seguku started spreading across social media with reports indicating how he had been discharged from hospital.

On Tuesday morning, the singer finally communicated with his fans and followers on social media with a post in which he thanked his mother for showing him love.

Sharing a photo of himself laying down in hospital with his mother by his side, looking at him, Chameleone said:

“Thank you, Mama, Your love is evident. You have never given up on the truth! I will grow stronger learning from you. God grant you more life.”
