BULANGE, MENGO: Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II has returned back home after flying to Germany to undergo specialized medical attention, the Buganda Kingdom Prime Minister Katikkiro Charles Peter Mayiga has confirmed on Monday.

While addressing journalists at Bulange Mengo in Kampala, Katikkiro Mayiga confirmed the return of Kabaka Mutebi who jetted back in the country on Saturday after being attended to by specialist doctors in Germany.

“Ssaabasajja Kabaka came back to Uganda on Saturday and we have high hopes that his health condition will improve more after meeting medical specialists in Germany,” Owek. Mayiga said.

The issue of Kabaka’s health shoot the national headlines in April when he appeared for his birthday party looking frail with many reports claiming the cultural healer had been poisoned by the enemies of Buganda.

Katikkiro Mayiga would later dismiss the reports and further disclosed that the king was battling allergies, that his condition was being managed very well by specialist doctors in Uganda, and that he would fly abroad if his doctors referred him to experts or a health facility outside the country.
