100 Days in Office – Anita Among has done miraculous things, Read them here

In the period of three months, the deputy speaker of Uganda’s parliament who also doubles as the woman member of parliament for Bukedea district, Hon Anita Among has done nicely remarkable things for both the country and her home district. This article explains them in the listing below.

1. Anita initiated a reconciliation process after the elections in bid to create one parliament which is favourable and focused on serving National interest.
2. She created a favourable atmosphere in working with Rt. Hon Speaker. By doing this, she created working relationship to ensure teamwork and consultative process.
3. Chaired the business Committe meetings and plenary.
4. Chaired the appointments Committe of parliment to vet ministerial members of commission and justices of the courts of judicature.
5. Appointed a parlimantery COVID-19 response task force that traversed and reported on the state of affairs instituted a forensic audit into expenditure.
6. Directed ministers to respond to matters of national importance raised by MPs.
7. Granted MPs recess to follow up on the progress of Emyooga and ensure the targeted beneficiaries have been reached.
