FULL SPEECH: Museveni’s full address on Covid-19 status in the country

KAMPALA, UGANDA: President Yoweri Museveni has announced the reopening of places of worship with no more than 200 attendees, after over 3 months of closure due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

In his address on Wednesday, 22nd September 2021, Mr. Museveni directed that after a review of the Covid-19 situation with the National Task Force – NTF, places of worship are now allowed to open provided they maintain the observance of the SOPs recommended.

The president also informed the nation that schools for post-secondary classes (Universities and technical institutions) will reopen effective 1st November while secondary and lower classes shall reopen next year in January 2022.
