Hoima leaders urged to welcome community views in implementing parish model project

Gen. Kulayigye said parish chiefs has should have a big role to play in the parish Development Model Project through supervision and training locals on how to benefit from the project.

HOIMA, UGANDA: Government has asked the implemantors of the Parish Model Project to take into account the views of the locals so as to quicken the implimentation of the project and yielding good results.

This was revealed during a three day training of Bunyoro leaders on Parish development model at Hoima Resort Hotel in Hoima city Yesterday afternoon.

Gen. Felix Kulayigye the Director of behavior changes at Operation Wealth Creation told leaders to help Ugandans to over come poverty through welcoming public issues.

Gen. Kulayigye said parish chiefs should have a big role to play in the parish Development Model Project through supervision and training locals on how to benefit from the project.

“Ugandans need to be well trained on behavior changes and this is a big issue which will help to close the gaps in the project especially during it’s implimentation”. Gen. Kulayigye said.

The three day training engaged the business men, community development officers, district production officers among others and was organized by the ministry of gender.

The government of Uganda approved the Parish development Model Project so as to change public thinking and also to improve their livelihoods.
