KAMPALA, UGANDA: A body of an unknown person has this morning been retrieved from a trench in Bwaise, Kawempe Division, Kampala.
The person whose identity was still unknown by press time was discovered today, February 14, at around 7:30 am by individuals working around the trench.
Although the exact cause of the death is still unknown, it is alleged the body could have been brought by running water in the trench though this was castigated because it didn’t rain yesterday, while others believe this person could have been killed and dumped in the wee hours of the night by thugs along the northern bypass.
The deceased’s body was collected by police and taken to Mulago hospital for postmortem as investigations to identify the cause of his death begin.
By press time, police in Kampala Metropolitan were yet to release an official statement regarding the incident.
