JINJA, UGANDA: Kiira regional police in conjunction with Central Police Station Kakira- Jinja on Friday, rescued a 7-year-old girl who was purportedly stolen from her parents by her parental aunt four years back in Buyengo town council, Jinja district.

“Namwebye told police that she was facing enormous pressure from the then boyfriend, a one Engineer Emma, who wanted Kevin to bear him a child but in vain before dieing some years ago and the child was stolen at the age of three,” ASP Mubi said.
Preliminary findings indicate that serious misunderstandings developed between the father of the child and his wife prompting the father, one Jeremiah Mwesigwa to disclose that they (him and his sister Kevin) wanted to get money from the late Eng Emma details of how the child went missing. He adds that the family of late Emma doubted the parenthood of the daughter and had plan to kill her.
“Mwesigwa told us that, him and his sister, Kevin wanted to get money from the late Eng Emma, adding that Emma’s family had plans of killing the daughter due to disputed parenthood.” Mubi confirmed.
